Brie C. Swan, M.S., CCC-SLP, President/CEO and director of speech-language pathology services, completed her bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology at Augustana College and her master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders at Western Illinois University. She is licensed by the state of Ohio and the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She has experience diagnosing and treating pediatric through adult populations with a wide variety of communication disorders; including, articulation, language, cognitive, pragmatic, and swallowing. She has provided professional treatment and family support in the home, classroom, and private practice settings.

Laura K. Berding, M.A., CCC-SLP, speech-language pathologist, completed her bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology at The University of Toledo and her master’s degree in communication disorders at Central Michigan University. She is licensed by the state of Ohio and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She has experience diagnosing and treating pediatric and adult clients with a with a wide variety of communication disorders, including: articulation, language, fluency, cognitive, and pragmatic difficulties. She has been employed by CCSH, Inc. since 2007.

Rita L. Sampson M.S., CCC-SLP, speech-language pathologist, completed her bachelor’s degree in communication disorders and her master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders at Bowling Green State University. She has been employed by CCSH, Inc. since 2001 and has experience diagnosing and treating a variety of communication needs, including pediatric and adult language disorders (receptive, expressive, and pragmatic), articulation disorders and aural rehabilitation. Rita has worked with individuals in the private practice, school, early intervention, and home settings. Rita is a member of the Ohio Speech Language Hearing Association (OSHLA) and the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

Marian Manne, trained in business and manages CCSH. She is in charge of scheduling appointments, billing insurance, checking patients in and out, and making sure the office runs smoothly. Tina K. Veale, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, founder of Comprehensive Concepts in Speech and Hearing, Inc. (CCSH), completed her doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati in 1998. Master’s and bachelor degrees were completed in 1979 and 1980 at Miami University in Ohio. Dr. Veale has over 29 years of experience assessing and treating communication impairment in children and adults with developmental disabilities. In addition to administrating the affairs of CCSH, she created and operated Wee Talk, a preschool for children with communication disorders, from 1991-1998. Her expertise in working with individuals with autism and their families is widely known as she is a frequent presenter at state and national conferences. She is currently the Convention Coordinator for the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA) and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She has served as Vice President for the Division of Educational Development for ISHA and Director of Educational and Scientific Affairs for the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association (OSLHA). Dr. Veale is now mentoring the next generation of speech-language pathologists as an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator at Eastern Illinois University (tkveale@eiu.edu). She continues to visit Cincinnati regularly and serves as a consultant to clinicians and families of CCSH.
