Speech-Language Therapy
Individual therapy sessions of 30, 45 and 60 minutes in length are offered by appointment. All speech-language pathologists are licensed by the state of Ohio and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Therapy is available to address articulation disorders, including phonological impairment and motor speech disorders, such as apraxia or dysarthria. Therapy is also provided for language delays and disorders, including developmental aphasia, as well as fluency (stuttering), voice, and orofacial myofunctional problems (tongue thrust, frontal lisp.) Therapists are able to address the communication needs of individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism and Down Syndrome. Therapists may also address dialectal differences upon request. Speech-language therapy is provided to individual clients at our office. Special therapy groups are sometimes offered in the summers, as well.
If you are a physician and would like information about our office, we provide referral packets and inservice opportunities upon request.
Contract Services
In addition to therapy provided at our speech and hearing clinic, we contract to work at outside settings, including public schools, private or charter schools, county programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, etc. Interested agencies should contact our office regarding therapist availability and contract rates. |
